Heart Rhythm Feature

Fourth Frontier

Last Update 3 bulan yang lalu

The Frontier X Heart Rhythm feature helps detect any heart rhythm deviations from Normal Sinus Rhythm (the typical rhythm of the heart). Every person's heart rate changes due to breathing - as you inhale, your heart rate goes up, and as you exhale, it goes down. This is something you can test for yourself by measuring your pulse as you take deep breaths. This normal variation in heart rate due to breathing, is known as "Normal Sinus Rhythm". However, if your heart rate is varying randomly, in a manner that is disconnected from breathing, then we call this "Other Rhythm".

Beyond identifying the presence of 'Other Rhythm', it also helps you understand the duration, frequency and occasions when these rhythm changes occurred. Please note that Heart Rhythm does not capture all aspects of heart function. Furthermore, the Heart Rhythm markings are not sufficient to make any clinical assessment and are not intended to be used for clinical, diagnostic or treatment purposes.

The Heart Rhythm Feature uses the variations in your Heart Rate within every 20-sec segment, to classify each session into one of 3 categories:

Class Pie chart (Dashboard) Session Flag (Activity)
Normal Rhythm Blue -No Flag-
Other Rhythm Yellow Flag marked 'O'
Noisy Signal / Not interpretable Grey -No Flag- and Grey background

Dashboard- Heart Rhythm Distribution

On the far right of the Dashboard, you will discover a new column described as RHYTHM.

This Pie chart denotes the proportion of time (Number of sessions) that you were in Normal Rhythm or Other Rhythm described above. This may help you determine if any rhythm deviations are becoming more or less frequent over time.

If you have a large sector of grey in your Pie chart, or large segments of greyed out backgrounds during your activities, you are likely experiencing poor signal quality and the cardiac rhythm feature will not work correctly. Here are some steps you can take to improve your signal quality so that you can get the most out of the Frontier X.

Please note that this feature is not intended to be interpreted as medical advice or to be used for diagnostic and treatment purposes.
